LMEDAC are pleased to be working with the University of Glasgow to deliver our Laparoscopic Urogynaecology Advanced Masterclass, taking place on 5th May.
This interactive course is aimed at surgeons wanting to brush up on technical skills and advance their knowledge in relation to various laparoscopic urogynaecological procedures. Delegates will use fresh frozen cadavers with a ratio of two delegates to each cadaver and will be supervised by expert faculty members.
Procedures covered on the course include:
- Laparoscopic Colposuspension and Paravaginal Repair
- Laparoscopic Sacrohysteropexy
- Laparoscopic Sacrocolpopexy
You can expect to gain an in-depth surgical experience that will allow you to improve your skills and understanding of laparoscopic procedures. The class will also provide you with a valuable networking opportunity and training from world renown experts. Faculty members include Dr Fiona Reid, who qualified in medicine at Manchester University in 1992. She is a consultant gynaecologist and accredited as a sub-specialist in urogynaecology. Her research degree (MD) studied open versus laparoscopic colposuspension with a specific interest in the methods used to assess the subjective outcome of surgery. Dr Reid is trained to an advanced level in laparoscopic surgery and has an interest in vesico-vaginal fistula repair.

The University of Glasgow is just seven miles west of Glasgow International Airport and a five-hour train journey from London.
