As 2016 nears to an end we like to reflect on the previous year and we feel we can say we’ve had a tremendously exciting year. We added new courses to our 2016 schedule and took existing courses overseas, all of which we plan on expanding in the new year. Our successes include holding the first ever Fistula Cadaver Masterclass with world experts in this field and taking our Female Anatomy and Surgery Masterclass to Chile.
As we start to move into 2017, we are proud to announce dates and topics for our confirmed courses:
- 20-21 March, Cadaver Masterclass Anatomy & Surgery (Urogynaecology), UK
- 27-28 March, Vaginal Fistula Repair & Urethral Reconstruction, UK
- 5th May, Laparoscopy Urogynaecology Adv. Masterclass, Glasgow, Scotland
- 6th May, Native Continence Surgery, Glasgow, Scotland
- 2-3 June, Cadaver Masterclass Anatomy & Surgery (Urogynaecology), USA
Our Anatomy and Surgery Cadaver Masterclasses and the Vaginal Fistula course have been awarded 15 CPD points on completion and these points are recognised by GMC, RCOG and RCS.
Further courses being planned for the latter part of 2017 include a Surgical Proficiency course and see us branching out into Urology. The Surgical Proficiency course will allow surgeons to become proficient in two Urogynae procedures. The course will enable a surgeon to repeat each procedure a minimum of 20 times, which according to NICE guidelines is the minimum number required in order for a surgeon to be proficient in that procedure. Any surgeon attending this course will have a ratio of 1:1 with a cadaver to enable the required number of procedures to be undertaken. More information about the Urology courses will follow shortly.
